Community Enhancement Award
Real estate projects can transform the current environment and have the power to revitalize a community, often beyond the boundaries of the project. This award showcases the critical impact that real estate development can have on the lives of residents and businesses in the Cape Fear Region. These projects can house important programs, deliver services, or provide housing or jobs. This award will honor projects that promote and/or enhance communities by improving quality of life and fostering the overall social interest of those communities.
Judging Attributes
The judging panel will use the following attributes to rank, review and discuss the Community Enhancement Award nominations:
Revitalization and Transformation - The project revitalizes and transforms the built environment, positively impacting the community beyond its immediate boundaries.
Inclusive and Affordable Development - The development supports diversity and inclusion, and benefits various segments of the community. This can also include affordable housing developments.
Long-term Community Benefits -The project provides sustainable, long-term benefits to the community, ensuring resilience and adaptability to future needs.
Positive Community Impact - The development houses important programs, delivers essential services, or creates job opportunities.
Social Interest and Community Engagement - The development fosters social interest and engagement by addressing community needs and encouraging active participation.
Enhanced Public Spaces and Amenities - The project creates or improves public spaces and amenities that are accessible, attractive, and beneficial to the community.
Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship - The project integrates sustainable practices and technologies, contributing positively to the environment and community well-being.
