Cape Fear CREW invites members and guests to its May Lunch Program, featuring Cliff Pyron, Director of Business Development for Wilmington Business Development (WBD). Pyron will share updates on their efforts for continued business and economic growth in the Cape Fear Region. 

As WBD Director of Business Development, Cliff Pyron interacts with city, county, state, and federal government officials, as well as private-sector leaders, educational partners and others whose support and participation is critical to WBD's effectiveness. Recent success stories for WBD include the recruitment of RL Cold, TerraPower, Amazon and Port City Logistics as well as the support of expansions at GE Nuclear, Live Oak Bank and MegaCorp Logistics in Greater Wilmington. 

A Wilmington resident, Pyron spent approximately five years at the NC State Ports Authority before his time at WBD, working most recently in business and economic development. He joined the Ports Authority in 2014 as communications manager after working as a broadcast journalist. Pyron is a 2009 graduate of UNC Wilmington, majoring in communications. He also served on the board of directors at North Carolina's Southeast and currently serves on boards at WDI and SBTDC.
